After de-wintering we had to re- install the lazy jack rigging on our recently purchased Hanse470e. Does the lazy jack haul go through the hole in second spreader?

C&A Sails,

Hi, think the answer is no.  The photo of my un-stepped mast show's the bottom spreader, the second hole is used to wire in the deck light (on earlier models, they now come in at the top so I understand).  Ours had a simple 'D' bracket screwed on, but I've added a small pulley to them both to remove the chafe of the line.  It's in the middle.

We had one side go, just as we were about to anchor and that's a lot of main to pick up and put back on the mast !

On my mast the lazy line goes up through the holes in 2n'd spreader and on to the small block and down towards the boom.

Hi,
I agree with Superliga. The line has to go through the whole!

Thanks for that. New issue where is holding tank sea clock? Our 470e model is 2008. We have checked all manuals to no avail!
