For some of you who think that the platform is to heavy for a quick swim I saw this ladder on a 470 in Spain For some of you who are questionning about Davits here is also on the same boat a Davit made by Osculetti. They strong enough for a large dinghy with motor and when not in use they are telescopic. You pull them vertically and release the break the slide them down in the cockpit floor..

That's the one and I know somebody who has one in is store for 4 years now. He is a Hanse dealer and dosen't really know or care about having it laying there. Jean By the way this is a davit that I regret not buying. I went for the large arch with solar panels and all the stuff but this one is effortless very solid dinghy installation. http://www.cooneymarine.co.uk/pages/davits-series8.html
