Dear forum friends. My Hanse 325 display definitions have by mistake been changed with regards to freshwater tank and fuel tank specifications for compensation and tank type value. I don't seem to be able to find the right numbers, and the fuel tank shows 100% although 20 l is used, and the freshwater shows 0% although being not empty.. Can any one help?  |

Yes! This happened to almost all Hanse owners at least once. It is easy to resolve! Proceed as follows: 1) inspect the tank tops and write down the volume and the sensor type 2) download the Philippi instrument panel instructions and the section of sensor selection. Every sensor corresponds to four different numbers (TANKTYPE) each one corresponding to a different symbol shown. 3) for each tank select the correct number and enter the tank volume. 4) select 50% for the shape factor(KOMPENSATION) - it is not perfect but good as a starting point. If you post the sensor type I can look in the manual myself and post the correct setting. It seams that every model has different sensors. The most probable numbers are 1,2,3,4 and 5,6,7,8. Each group of four works exactly the same but shows different symbol (diesel, water, waste,???) I don't think you can calibrate. If you need to be Swiss  the best you can do is to make a calibration lookup table after you have established that the instrument shows zero when and only if empty and respectively shows 100% only when full.Many tanks because of poor sensor installation start show full already from 80% and the value does not increase any more. To correct this problem you have to do some work inside the tank or change the sensor. Sometimes the sensor is not placed to the top of the tank. Again, 1000 thanks for your specific and very helpful answers! I have read the instruction manual, and it says if you hold the button for more than 5 seconds, it will calibrate to full tank. I am very much looking forward to get this issue fixed. Thank you! Lars
