After being bugged by a small oil leak in the engine, Volvo  D3 110  (since the boat was new) and having a Volvo dealer  here in Norway investigate this twice with no result , I finally located the leak. The leak was in the drainage plug in the charged air cooler.

I presented the evidence ie photos taken through an inspection mirror, to the Volvo dealer. He then told me that Volvo had issued a service upgrade ( service campaign: 4877-1775 D3-D,E,F,G new software and charge air cooler drain cock) which should solve the problem.

 

Just a tip to those of you who have the same engine
