Hi, in addition to a solar panel, I have bought an aquair 100 towable generator.

Does anyone have one?

In the mounting instructions it is expected that the unit fits between the horizontal bars on the push pit, but on the 385 the bars are too close together so it doesn't fit. Before I invent some complex bracket, has anyone fitted an aquair an come up,with a sensible arrangement?

Hi, I had one on my previous boat and merely strapped the ss ring with two pieces of cord to the pushpit so it was a flexible fit and the generator part sat in the centre of the ring on the swivels. The tension on the tow prevented any rattling of the ring against the pushpit rails.
Hope that help.

Thanks, we have used dyneema strops so that as the tow pulls, the ring is pulled a little way from the pushpit and can swing about 30 degrees, will try it and see

Hi,
if you have tried it out you will have experienced how difficult it is to retrieve with the tow line becoming twisted as the prop keeps spinning.
I used a plastic funnel split lengthwise which l then placed over the towline and fastened with a couple of velcro tabs, narrow part facing the direction of travel. This then slips down the tow line under the water and down to the prop. As the funnel now stops the water flow over the prop, it's easy to retrieve the tow line without it twisting, simple!!  You may have already tried it. Good luck.
