I'm (a bit) proud to present my last winter project : removable track on a Hanse 355

The track might be a bit too short (975 mm overall approx) compared to Hanse's factory option but it's very useful to control and ease mainsail when shorthanded.  When in harbor or anchorage I remove and store the track away and we can still enjoy cockpit table within seconds.
Track kit is from Barton (size 3).

Hello Bruno, realising this tread a bit old, but hopefully you can assist a bit!
I took over Hanse 355 #81 this spring, but coming from a Hanse 315/2006 ( with full cockpit traveler) i really need to add this feature to my #81 !
Your previous post, incl pictures, is a great help....but can you indicate how you made the re-inforcement, both for the pelican turnbuggles but also in both seetings.

I’m right now installing a 4 kw Planar diesel air heater, and have been in almost all rooms and spaces, but have no idea how you have managed to get in behind the cockpit ceelings and floor!

Perhaps you have simply added re-inforcements onto the cabin celings ie nut’s for the cockpit fittings are mounted, and visible, in the aft cabin/ port locker?

Perhaps you have some more photos from “inside” showing how fixation/foundatiom carried out?

As it is my first approach to this fine “hanse” community, please bear over if i miss something

Rgds
Peter

Hi Peter,
To add reinforcement, I had to cut out some access holes.
Portside It was easily done from the locker ceiling (to access under back fixed part of bench).  Access hole is 200 m or so closed with round plastic hatch.  I glassed of piece biaxe (messy job) and had an easy acces for nuts & wahers
Starboard side is more difficult as I didn't want to cut a 200 mm hole on cabin wall.
I cut a 100 mm hole in the wall to glass a piece of biaxe and to put nuts & washers.
For Cockpit pad eye I cut a part of ceiling (approx 80 X 80 mm) to put a reinforcement aluminium plate + washers & nuts.  Closed by a piece of "leather" fabric and velcro.
I may have some photo of this.
Please send me you mail adress.
Regards
