Hi everybody, maybe some of you had similar issue? The water separator filter on my 445, that is the filter fitted right on the tank, is leaking but only when the genset is running, there is no leak with engine running. The leak appears to be from the rubber seal between transparent part of the filter on the bottom of it and non-transparent plastic part. There is a tightening bolt on the bottom that I was able to tighten a bit but it didn't stop the leak. The leak is rather small, about a drop every minute or so.
The strange thing is that it doesn't leak when the engine is running, even at higher revs.
I also couldn't find the fuel filter for generator, does anybody knows where it is located?
We are sailing today from Nysiros towards Leros and maybe on Leros will be able to find a store with spare parts, to see if changing the rubber seal will help, but I suspect it is genset filter that is blocked hence separator is under too much pressure and leaking.
Thanks for your help!
