I've had my new 505 for about two months now and she's a terrific boat. But I've realized I should have had the factory install a freezer. I've ordered a new Vitrifrigo 12v/110/230v freezer and plan on installing this next week. The 12v wiring harness shown on the wiring diagram is in place, correctly marked, ready to wire into the new freezer. And the cabinets, now in place where the freezer will go, appear to have been pre-drilled to shift the shelves around to accommodate the new freezer. Pictures from Hanse with both the fridge and freezer installed show a narrow opening above the double refrigerator and below the freezer, with what appears to be a door or drawer: Is this a drawer, or more likely simply a door that folds down? Any ideas on where to source this? I've reached out to the factory (this part does not seem to appear on the parts site) and to my dealer, but I thought I'd try here too. I could cut down an old drawer front but that will likely leave a rough finish on one edge. If anyone has tackled this and has any advice to offer I'd be most grateful. I have attached some pics from my 2-year old 505. It is a drawer. I had the same issue, as it was equipped with a wine cooler and I wanted a freezer. The second image is on its side; however, I removed the drawer so you could see how it is together. Hope this helps. Dave Festina Lente Sausalito, CA   |

Glad it helps. I might just do a drop down hinged panel. I only use the drawer for paper bags. Good luck |

I was able to install the freezer and it's now plugged into the 110v galley socket, working nicely. Unfortunately, the 12v 'refrigerator 2' circuit is not powered. Anyone have any suggestions? Looking at the wiring diagram it looks like the 'refrigerator 2' circuit runs through a 15amp fuse on the 12v panel at position F9. Can't seem to find this location to confirm the fuse is in place . Looking at the back of the panel it appears that only one refrigerator circuit is presently wired into the panel, but it's hard for tell. ------------- Kipwrite |

If there is a 12 volt circuit the fuse is very likely in the Wurth 12V DC panel. Do you have the wiring diagram? It shows Refrigerator 1 and Refrigerator 2 connected to this 12V system. Refrigerator 2 goes to K5.1 and a 15A fuse labeled F9. I don't see a Freezer. That said, my 505 was delivered with a wine cooler option in the space where the dealer substituted the freezer. The diagram shows that was connected to the AC Panel connected through a switch 5F1 which on the diagram is marked ice maker. I had always assumed that they used this circuit when they swapped out the wine cooler or the freezer. I can email you the wiring diagram if you need, send me a PM with your email address. Dave

Thanks Dave. I do have the wiring diagram. I'm having difficulty finding the location of the refrigerator 2 fuse on the panel, labeled F9. Will check with my dealer Monday if I can't sort it out. I'd also like to know where 5F1 is to check if there is a 'refrigerator 2' connection there. I've wired the freezer into the 12v refrigerator 2 circuit - which is currently dead. In the meantime the freezer is running of a 110 outlet in the big outboard drawer, but the unit is designed to run best on 12v. Harvey ------------- Kipwrite |

So, my new freezer was installed without too much fuss, and is now running on 110Volt. Turns out the Refrigerator 2 wire shown in the diagram is not connected at the Wurth Panel. I pulled apart a big section of the wiring loom behind the Wurth panel looking for this wire - cut about 40 cable ties - and it wasn't there. Anyone have any idea where this wire might be, starboard side, near the power panel? I'm reluctant to keep digging. | There is a neat device used by telephone and/or cable installers that is a 2-piece test tool. One end sends a signal down a wire and the second is used to search for the other end. I am not home or I would send the specifics. I think it cost less than $50. A Google search should be easy. When I am home I'll send a pic. |

This tester is connected to the conductor of a wire. The locator (the pointed thing) is quite sensitive and only needs to be held near the insulated wire. It might help tracing the wire. |
