i race my hanse 301 extensively.

irc .915

 we race against sunfast 37's, x 332, elan 31's, sigma 33, toledo 30.

i have been racing for the last 3 years in Beowulf. with our current set-up we are very competitive in all breezes.

i feel we are hot upwind and down but the lack of beam shows on a shy reach.

i have a full kevlar wardrobe, with 3 jibs.

she is a tough boat to sail very competitively, i would be happy to talk with anyone on rig tension, mast rake + pre- bend so-on

she needs plenty of weight on the rail and needs to be pinched upwind in the gusts to stop her healing anymore than 25 degrees.

she likes to be tacked downwind and upwind in the heavy she really needs a blade jib rather than a self tacker. the boat does not like to be over loaded either.

fin keel

folding prop

145% genoa

no roller furling

a little rake

little or no pre bend
