We purchased our 2014 575 this spring and while warned by the previous owner that the locker placement was an issue, we've lived with it to this point. Over the winter we're contemplating having it moved as we have a number of longer passages planned and changing a tank on passage is nearly impossible with tender and outboard stowed in the garage. Have any of you relocated the lockers to a more sensible location? Or setup a second line to allow one to easily switch to a second tank in the spares ocker?

We change the empty bottle with the tender in the garage. With the portside dinghy pontoon mostly deflated there is room to lay there and do the change over. Your suggestion of having the second storage compartment bottle plumbed in and able to be turned on sounds like a good option. We have had this boat for 11 years and just got used to the idea of changing the empty bottle over whatever the situation. If we are doing a long passage (5+ days) and we have had a bottle running for a few weeks I will sometimes fit a new bottle before leaving port/anchorage without the tender in the garage so I don't need to do it at sea.

I've changed it with the tender in the garage as well. The access obviously depends upon what else you have piled up in there, but its easily doable. It would seem far more cost effective (assuming it is changeable) to just get a second or third tank. The backup tank that we got with the boat is slightly smaller than the primary. Its been enough for us so far, but I agree that on a long passage you would need more. FWIW
