would just like to comment on your Port heel,
i had a starboard heel, and after much research over tanks being full or empty, loads in storage, it came out that the mast had not been set perfectly vertical, effectively measure with your spinnaker or main halyard whether it comes equally on either side of deck? i had a 20mm adjustment between both shrouds, so imagine the weight shift at the top of the mast..

I have been bussy with the antifouling the last week. The plan is to sail the boat to my dealer, 60 nmil. Then they will have a look at my list of faults and ofcourse fix the engin. Well I think it will take time before the majour faults are fixed, it is a very bussy time no so I will be happy enough if the major thinks will be sorted out. The may is very important, I know I need to have this fix so it does not pass the black marks on the mast. A cunningham would not fix it as I think the sail is to long...

Hi!
After taking over my Hanse 350 in Tenuta Primero, among other problems, two most serious:
1. Boat is constantly heeled to port side no matter what is loaded inside back storage box (2-cabin layout), ca 2 degrees measured by inclinometer. Clear seen when looking on black stripes near to water line: port side ca 2cm to water, on stb ca 10cm to water.
2. Mainsail to long, or boom to high mounted, so not possible to fully hoist and straighten mainsail front edge.
I am preparing long letter to dealer, including other numerous problems which are, however, not so serious and could be fixed easily.
I'll inform about further development...

Hi, Mex!
Yes, Friedrich Schwaiger. They are little bit confused, but generaly we have good cooperation, they accept complaints. At least so far...
Now I am with my boat pretty far away from their base in Tenuta, so I am curious how they will handle rest of problems.
There is another company, Avel Yachting from Kotor, Montenegro, responsible for Montenegro and Serbia, i think they are ready to help as well.
Anybody has problems with Simrad AP24? maybe it is not question for this topic, but anyway...

@ sloba
We had some problems with our AP24 too. It took sometiome to find the problem.
It was at the end pretty simple.
You have to reset the complete system. After that we had to turn off the system for about 10 sec. Than we had to reset the autopilot computer. After that again turn off the system for about 10 sec. Now you have to do the procedures written in your handbook to spezialize the AP top your boat.
It only worked in our case after resetting both (whole system and seperatly the computer) Do not ask why.

Hi, Blake!
I am little bit in computers and industrial controls, so I tried different ctrl-alt-del procedures without success, including local and global reset. After all, it seems that command panel is not communicating with AP computer (deep down in bunker, not easy to reach with my personal balast
Anyway, thanks for suggestion, I will try it for sure.
Before it was compeltely gone, it had problems with keyboard, when push 1> button it goes 10 degrees in oposite direction, whne push >10 it goes +10 but changes display...
I'll be on the boat in ten days again, and try to make it.

Same situation with a mare. It costs us one day in Stralsund but the Hanse Engineer comes rapidly to help us and he solved the problem.
![]() I can't understand why that was not tested after installing by the Hanse shipyard.
It works fine now, also the callibrated flux compass works very well. Edited by Stella*Nova - 03 June 2008 at 08:35 |

My AP24 works well, only thing is that I get a message every time I turn it on, that tells me something is not finish in the setup of the autopilot. I have not looked in to this yet as it seems to perform well. Now my boat is back at my dealer I sailed it 60 nmil in the weekend, a wonderfull trip in great weather here in the west of Norway. There has not been rain here for 6 weeks, can you belive that? There has not been much wind eighter so I have not been able to put the boat thru a real test yet, but I think it sails well, we love the cockpit and the layout inside (3 cab). We also love the exterieur. So I realy hope and belive that me dealer take things seriously, it is not difficult to fix but it will take them some time... I`ll be back, but until now I am very happy with my dealer, Nelson Marine in Norway... Edited by bjoris - 03 June 2008 at 19:54 |

Well, now I have posted a video of our deliverytrip to Norway if any one is interessed. I have also posted a small film with some pictures of my sailtrip home, singelhanded, after 2 weeks at the dealer in Stavanger. I must say I am happy with them even though there is still a lot of small things to bee sorted out. The bigg issues has been adressed. The engin has been out of the boat and a new bottom has been fitted and the 50 hours service has been done at the same time. The mast has been down, and the leakage in the mast-foot has been stopped. It was on of the bolts going through the deck that caused the problem. The rigg has a much better trim also now than before. The noisy fan in the enginroom has been replaced with a new one. This also can be heard but it is enourmus difference, so I like this much better than cutting the wires... Accourding to the mainsail beeing to large I have gott the message that it is beeing replaced with a new one. I just have to take it down to cheek that it really are to big. I have cheeked the rigg and it seems to be okey, 13,14-13,17 meters something... I read this other tread about it comming to high on the bom but my dealer tells me this is not the fault. They think it must be a batch with sails that has the wrong measures... Any one else with this problem that actually has measured the sail or have doen any deal with they`r dealer? Well, here are the videos on youtube.com not at all profesionall but it is what it is... All in all I am very happy with my boat. We have been on the first longer trip now in very bad wether and it is great to live in aslo in this conditions. Only big problem is that it is much to low heatertemp in the front cabin and on the WC in the front. Not that this is any surprice since the heater are placed in the back of the boat. But when it rains several days continusly it ends up with madresses not totaly dry. On my singelhanded trip back to the homeport (50 nmil) I finally did test it in conditions of 20-25 knots upwind and I think it handels hard wind very good. I find it is possible to going upwind in 6,5 knots to 7 knots on a 40-42 degree wind-angel. I am also very happy with the preformence, the rudder does not slipp even when there is a lot of wind and the boat leaning hard on the wind. I think it is very stiff and I did not loose controll one time all day... Offcourse there is a limit but I think that limit is not reached if you dont try to reach it...
