Rolly Tasker Sail Experience

We have no had any Rolly Tasker sails but some cruiser friends have a 57ft Lagoon and they bought a main sail and head sail from Rolly Tasker and I helped them put the sails on their boat. That was in the Caribbean in about Feb 2023. Since entering the Pacific where we both are they destroyed the head board and pulled out the second reef. We also had new main sail and head sail delivered at the same time from Zoom Sails ( designed in NZ and made in Sri Lanka). Comparing the two sets of sails - The Zoom sails were considerably cheaper,  the Zoom sails came with better fitting (eg Harken blocks at the reefs where the RT had no blocks). We have not had any damage to the sails in 2.5 years and about 8,000nmiles. Like you we had the laminated Elvstrom optional sails when we bought the boat in 2014 and ours badly delaminated as well. These laminated sails are not suitable for cruising boats especially in warmer/rainy climates. We are about to order a downwind sail from Zoom as well.
