Hi
Anyone know how to get a sail number for a Hanse 315?
The RYA don’t issue for Hanse yachts apparently.
Thank you 😊

Hi, For yachts in UK apply on RYA website, they run some checks and you get a sail number very quickly. Never had a problem, our Hanse took less than a week.

If a problem on website, perhaps give them a call.

Here is the link for the RYA:

Allocation of a single number is free of charge to RYA Gold Members, £20.00 RYA Personal Members, and £40.00 to non members and companies. Click here to apply for an Offshore Sail Number.

RYA numbers currently have a "L" suffix with the next series suffix being "X"
(also "N" for one designs and "M" for multihull )

RORC also issue them with a "R" suffix Sail Numbers - Royal Ocean Racing Club | Rating Office (rorcrating.com)
The Clyde Yacht Clubs Association have a "C" suffix.

Thank you, the Scottish accent clearly the problem on the phone to the RYA as they confused Hanse with Hansa, a dinghy!  All sorted now
