We are considering a Selden bov spit for our Hanse 355 being delivered in March. Does anybody have experience with fitting of the rings on a 350 or 355? If you have pictures it would be good.

In this tread you can see some pictures of my Selden Bowspirit, did not install it my self, works great... but it is not more space than you need so mine have some marks touching the furler, it should have been a litle of center to avoid this... Easily done with the padeay Edited by bjoris - 01 February 2011 at 09:13 |

Hi Björis,
Thanks for your assistance. Is your spit 78 or 87 mm? Finn |

Hi all,
I'm thinking about installing a Selden Bowsprit as well. Does anybody knows what size will fit a H355 (or 350). I'm dreaming about using a Code 1 (so a quite straight luff sail) approx 60 m² to fly in light or very light winds. I know I will have to fit a bobstay (waterstay). I like Bjoris's solution shown in upmentioned thread I also like Flesne's solution : http://myhanse.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3404&PN=3&title=gennaker-attach Normally I should have a USL approx 600 mm and DBS approx 1300 mm My concern is about the size. Is it a 75 ou 87 mm diameter ? On other 35 feet yachts (Fisrt 35, Winner 10.20, ...) I see only 75 to 80 mm bowsprit, never larger. There's also a concern of room under the furler drum. Anyone knows ?

Hi
When I installed mine it required quite extensive remodelling to fit under furler Rail had to removed and remodelled This is the biggest sprit Selden makes so I could carry a 80 sq m Code 0 and 150 sqm Asym on my 370. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for this input
I recently discussed with a H375 owner wich bought a SELDEN 87 mm bowsprit. He fly a 65 m² Code 0 (Stormlite 210) with this bowsprit with a spectra bobstay. His USL is approx 90 cm (3 ft). According to what he said it's ok with this solution.
