One of my winter projects is to fit shore power to Rioja, our 301. I'm intending to put the input socket inside the stern locker but am undecided about where to put the distribution box etc. Where does evryone else have it?

Hi Rioja

Shore power on our 301 is connected to a distribution board with rcd's fixed to the bulkhead in the lazarette - on the starboard side to the fore , just adjacent the locker lid,( so it's immediately on the left as you open the locker).

It's connected, amongst other things to the water-heater. A point to remember , if you have one, is to make sure you switch this off before leaving the boat for any length of time , otherwise you'll run up a big bill with the marina !!

I have shore power fitted to Enhanser in Conwy Marina.I am on B3 if you want to have a look any time.
