Hello, I've been experiencing a problem since I bought my 2024 model 460 boat: When I connect any cable to the USB-C port on the front of my Simarin Pico Nereid 2, the Simarin malfunctions, shuts down, or restarts.
These two USB-C ports are necessary because they provide constant power to the interior lights on the boat. This problem can especially cause refrigerators to shut down and food to spoil. The problem worsened when I connected the Simarin NMEA2000. I did this because I can remotely turn everything on and off on the Pico screen using the Vanemar on the boat, which works very well. I wish Pico would do it by Simarine application.. I understand Simarine has found a solution with an update, but nobody knows how to install. Because it needs special cable connection. Has anyone else experienced this shutting down or restarting problem with the Simarine?

I experience the same but even when nothing is plugged i to usb ports. Very frustrating as I sometimes lose navigation, winches, or autopilot usually at the most inconvenient times.
I have upgraded software to the latest with no resolution. I also have a problem with the house batteries taking a long time (hours) to update their soc. Someone suggested it may be the shunt that needs calibration as a faulty reading from the shunt will cause the simarine panel to shut down. Haven't had time to investigate that.

This is also wery difficult position that may be the cause of accident. Especially in a inconvenient times. Unfortunately the update you did isn't a solution for the issue. As I learned, Simarine didn't accept the issue. They just said don't plug Type C or NMEA2000. I Think Hanse should know this issue as well. That's why they didnt connect Simarine to NMEA 2000. If its so, why are there cable wires in this boat. I dont understand why Simarine doesn't have remote Application to control the switches. Anyway Vanemar or Sentinel is able to do it. I talked with a dealler of Simarine that said that they don't care about this issue because its a problem for Hanse to solve. Normally if USB-C isn't working Simarine has to be under boat guarantees. Another issue is if you added batteries you should install it to the Masterwolt shant which is hiding in the battery area.. otherwise it thinks that you have 165x2 : 320 ah batteries in the boat..
