This is how the new IS20 series look:

Thanks for the picture.   Do you know what the differences are other than looks?  The wind indicator is obvious - but does the panel on the left do any more than depth, speed and temp?  Does it pick up the navigation info from GPS, for example - or anything else other than the basic instruments.  Presumably they all run off Simnet still.

I have not seen it working yet! But I will let you know.

Thanks for sharing the photos. It would be nice to see how they look when they are switched on.

I would be even nicer to know the tech specs. My main issue with the IS12 wind instrument is that it doesn't use data from my GPS. I want to see true wind speed calculated using SOG.

Likewise the speed showing SOG too.

If you use the IS12 Mega instrument you'll get SOG.

I don't know what the difference is between IS12 and IS15 (I have the IS15), but maybe theis scheme might help:

Well, replacing my IS12 wind instrument with IS15 would solve the problem. However, it's more tempting to wait and see the specs for IS20.

Digme, I am curious to know why you want to calculate True Wind from Speed Over Ground? I guess because it's more accurate, but I wonder how your reasoning goes.
