They say that a boat owners 2 best days are the day of purchase and the day of sale. That certainly was not true of us. Judi and I purchased our Hanse 370e, hull #9, sight unseen based on a very careful examination of the new 340 which arrived the year before the 370/400. After 15 seasons of cruising and racing on beautiful Lake Michigan, and after cruising was no longer in our future, we made a decision to downsize. Our Hanse 370e, Legacy, has now been sold to a wonderful couple who plan on sailing from Lake Michigan to Lake Ontario next summer. Tom and Susan are very experienced sailors and I'm sure will enjoy Legacy as much as we did. I want to say "Thanks" to everyone who participates on this forum. It has been a great source of information, guidance and friendship since we signed on late in 2005. I know that it significantly enhanced our experience and I am truly greatfull. I'll be looking over your shoulder from time to time. Till then, be safe out there.

Good wind to you, and even when selling the boat, one does not need to resign from myhanse. In the current Corona-crisis, where people need to stay at home, we have gotten quite a few new boats and sailors in our harbour. The negative trend is, that the young sailors choose a big motor yacht, and the +60 buy a sailing yacht. So business as usual. |

No. I've purchased a Andrews 28, primarily for racing. It's a very challenging boat and probably one that would have better suited me 40 years ago (I'm 78). Hopefully, I'll find next season less challenging and more enjoyable. |

Wasn't it a Swiss watch ad? I would suggest it "take care of it, before it sinks!" 🥴🤣

It's always sad to see somebody sail their Hanse, especially when they have been prominent contributors to this forum.
I wish you good luck with your new boat, Alan! Johan |

Silversailor: It is sad to hear that you have sold your Hanse 370e as I have been quietly following your many posts on the myhanse website for more than 14 years. I always enjoyed reading your thoughtful and generous postings. As one of the Hanse pioneers your thoughts and advice have been very helpful to me and I am sure to many others. Thank you. We continue to sail Karinya on the west coast of Canada and look forward to new adventures in the coming years. All the very best to you and your crew and, my fair winds forever fill your sails. Regards, David Good (Goodie) |
