Hi,

Would any of you know the maker of the door/drawer latch as shown here? And where one might obtain such a thing.

One of mine has failed and will not lock closed.

Thanks

F.

Maybe you can get technical info from this old discussion thread so you don't need to buy a new one?!

Watski seem to offer 2 sizes of lockers that might be something for you (I'm only suggesting)

I seem to recall fitting similar latches in my joinery days
I think they came from-- Hafele
Their catalogue is vast but you may find the product OK. I think they were called push locks

I have a couple to replace as well - the plastic is not that durable for locations such as the top of the battery box with the captain's seat attached. Here's one I've found online but I haven't checked the dimensions yet.... http://www.go2marine.com/product/209811F/sea-dog-push-button-rim-latch.html

Thanks for all the tips guys,

I have stolen a latch from another cupboard which, for the moment, I will replace with a magnet 'thingy'.

I have scanned the Watski catalogue and don't see anything similar but the others look promsing.

To clarify, my problem has nothing to do with a 'sticking' latch but a small nylon (I suppose) part is broken.

Thanks again,

Great forum.

In my 370 there is a panel in the aft of the starboard lazarette that uses the same latch as used for the cupboards.  It can easily replace your broken latch and having a different type in the lazarette will not be noticed. The same may be true of the aft of the port cabin but I have not checked.

manufacturer : Watski    They fit like a glove  Clap    They come in 2 sizes.

For my Hanse it's the bigger one.

I had the same issue last year and ordered them form Boatoon.
This winter I cleared the forward cabin and looked into a box with spares supplied by Hanse with the boat. I had totally forgotten about this box. I found some more in this box Ouch plus a variety of other things which might come in useful one day.
Now I have an inventory of this box on my boat's tabletCool
