I know - there are much more importannt news in the world, but there is one news that make my heart jump. My Stella*Nova is in fabrication. The turnover will be at April 23rd in Greifswald - one week earlier than planned. Unfortunately is the transfer törn fixed for May 20th, so I have to be patient - thats not easy.

Today I bought the radio a Navman 7100 with dsc and atis. Its a small unit for low budget and thats the reason why its heard to find.

Oh I see - the Forum time is winter time yet.

Ralf  Congratulations!!!--This is indeed a great moment for you! My hull # 173 is sitting in a boatyard 2 blocks fom my house & I can't touch it. It was supposed to be transported to the brokers yard in Connecticut but a fire on one of the bridges ruined the bridge for oversize loads & they won't allow the boat on any other route. The trucker just happens to be located in my village so he has it parked in a boatyard 2 blocks away---I can look but can't touch it because of insurance reasons. Any way she looks great & looks fast!! Hopefully she will be transported to the brokers yard in 3-4 days.  I wish you good luck with your delivery & smooth sailing

Hi Robert,

thanks for your congratulations.

Oh no, that a pity with the transport problems. But I'm shure they will solve the problems quickly and then... you have a good time, I hope.

Robert, where did you see the Hanse first time in real. Was it on an exhibition or did you see her sailing in the water? All the best to you and have a good time with the new ship.

Kind regards

Ralf

Hi Ralf----I 1st saw the Hanse on the website of a broker when I was looking at used boats. It looked interesting & had most of the features I was looking for in a performance cruiser.  I went up to look at a 312 that the broker had on display & loved it!!  I got the chance to see the 341 at the Annapolis Sailboat show here in the US & after comparing it with other similar boats for 2 days I had made up my mind--I ordered one at the show that weekend!!!!

I ordered mine w 2 aft staterooms to seperate my 2 boys ages 5 & 14. I hope I don't regret loosing the extra locker space. I am curious about yours--did you order the standard version or did you get any of the options?      Regards Robert

Hi Robert,

I ordered the standard version with one aft cabin, my (only 1) boy is 14 years old. So I have enough space in bathroom and locker. Most time I 'll sail with a small crew, so its no problem. Only for the transfer from baltic sea to the netherlands I'm missing the second aft cabin - one guy of us (the shortest - goodluck thats not me) has to sleep in the salon.

I ordered mine 341 with following options:

- (normal keel 1,85m)
- steering wheel
- cockpit table
- spring cleats (not autumn cleats:-)
- anchor Delta 10kg
- anchor windlass 900W with 50m ! chain
- folding propellor 3 blade (Flex-O-Fold)
- air heating Webasto (german product)
- autopilot simrad wp 30
- vhf-preparation (the vhf unit I bought myself)
- wind instrument Simrad IS 15
- decklight
- shore power
- batt charger
- 2x 12V outlets (steering wheel + navi-place)
- Yanmar 3GM30FC - 27 HP
- sprayhood + maindrop in blue
- rodkick
- spi-rope (for later gennaker)
- antifouling

Which equipment do you ordered/need in your sailing area.

A lot of equipment I have from my last ship, a bavaria32, with that I was not too lucky.

Kind regards over the atlantic ocean

Ralf

Jahooo!! Congrets!! with this beautifull news!!

Hopefully you can be at the sluice of Willemstad the 16/17th of july there we can look in and at your 341... And drink something together. I see you have also fixed the 27hp instead of the 19 hp. It is perfect and verry quiet!! And wow a anchorwindlass.... I am doing it with manpower.... it will do.

I had some problems with my back. so I decided to order a anchor windlass. Do you have also the Yanmar machine or do you have the volvo engine?

Saturday I was at Strijen-Sas habour and I sas the eternal flame. I was surprised that the ship was packed under a canvas cover. It looks perfect but also very expensive. I was also surprised that the harbour was sleeping - in other locations the most ships have in been into water. In Stijen Sas the most were on land? But it is a good place for sailing I think. Unfortunately I didn't met the havenmeester so I couldn't ask for a berth for June and July and for the charge.

Frank, do you have the dimensions of the (back-)labeling of the eternal flame, cause I will order the letters for my Stella*Nova and I don't know the dimension yet? Unfortunately I forgot a folding rule on Saturday. It would be great if you could provide me the dimensions.

The meeting at the sluice of Willemstad the 16/17th of july depence in the location I will find for the two summer months. But I'm shure we will meet.

Kind regards - to all

Ralf

Hi Ralf--I've started working on my Freyr IV--today I installed the dial face for the wind instrument (Simrad IS 15) which I decided to buy myself. I also purchased a Raymarine 435 chart plotter & an Icom VHF. I will try to add a windlass & some spinnaker gear next year. I will have a local sailmaker, that I used when I was racing, make up a 155% Genoa for some club racing/cruising. I'll also get a dodger made here. I ordered  a rigid vang, rail gates, the aft cabin & the main drop system for the mainsail from the factory. I will be adding more as the season goes on. My wife is going to make curtains for the boat (she was probably the most expensive purchase, but that goes back 20 years--well worth it--I'm finally getting curtains !!!)

Also  I've allotted a space approximatly 24 x 3 inches for the lettering on the transom

Speak  to you soon--hope everything continues well.

 Robert
