I lost my Hanse 371 during the October storm in DK - this is not how you would your boat...
Surfacing again

However, one surprising thing was the keel split in the middle.

I have never heard of the keel splitting like this (joining bolts not possible to inspect, lower keel part still somewhere in the harbour), but perhaps others should inspect the bolts.

You can also see the crack lines near the hull joining, the entire keel was heavily loaded.

The boat took a serious beating (bridge pillars up through the hull, keel hitting the bridge main vertial beams) and the pump could not keep up forever during the night.

It was sold for scrapping by the insurance company, damage way to costly to fix it.

Btw. If any one is considering selling their Hanse 371 then let me know - I really liked it and I am sure keels of other makers may come off / split when banging in to a bridge for hours.

Sad to see a boat like this.

Water and wind can be force to fear

Perhaps more amazing you still have half a keel after relentless banging against concrete

Good luck with the process
