My new 418 doesn't have anywhere in the cockpit to stow phones, sunscreen and drinks.  what have others done?  Would love to see a photo! TIA

Hi Dobrien,

We sail a 418 too and experienced the same issue: no place to store small stuff like sunglasses, phone, snacks etc. We solved it buying 2 Ikea bins and fixing them with 'foam-tape' to the rooftop both sides of the companionway.
We found it a quick fix and hoped it would last at least one season. We placed them spring 2018 and the're still going strong! It is next to our grab handles at the sides of the spray hood the best value for money additions to the boat!

Would also recommend these soft mug holders on each steering pedestal. Brilliant for beers, water bottles, coffee cups, vhf handheld or mobile phones! Very simple and convenient!

Thanks for the tip. I purchased the ikea bins and they are great. Did u know u can also use the bins to protect the clutches at the helm station.
