Our dear gray Hanse sailboat is moored in the western Mediterranean and every year we spend quite a few nice weeks with family and friends while sailing in the western Mediterranean between Italy, Spain and France. Nevertheless, in my mind I am always drawn to the north, to the coasts of Norway and Sweden. I would be happy to replace the hot Mediterranean for a cold north for a week or two in the summer :) Question to all hanse sailors from the Baltic: what areas you recommend for a week or two, any recommendations for renting a sailboat (around 50ft, preferably Hanse)

Hi again,
I live on the southern coast of Norway. The Swedish and Norwegian Skagerrak coast are lovely, but avoid July. Last summer we spent 5 weekend om the western coast of Norway up towards Bergen. Just fantastic with islands and fjords. If you really want it to be spectacular then choose the Helgeland coast from Trondheim to Bodų. Happy to provide more info if You need.

Hi guys!
Is there anyone who would like to get in touch to share tips and useful info regarding these kind of destinations? I am gathering data for new destinations for http://yachting.com/en-gb/ and would be grateful for as much insight as possible! Thanks a lot!

Inspiration can be found at: https://jim-soeferie.de/index-english.html In the Baltic and Danish waters the tide is +/- 15 centimeters, which must be heaven for GB sailors. Okay, if you include the shift of water caused by strong winds, it can be +/- 1 meter. ![]() This only when storms or gales are blowing for several days. In the Danish Harbour Guide ("Komma“s Havnelods") you will find 490 Danish, 287 Swedish, 228 German and 32 Polish harbours with tourist information. In danish, but use a translator, or buy a different cruising guide. Compared to EEC, the harbour fees are very reasonable. https://www.danskehavnelods.dk/ https://www.marinetorvet.dk/visprodukt.asp?ProduktID=23393 :Kjeld
