There are numerous threads on this site about this, but could I suggest that before you fix on using the cubby hole as a liferaft storage position you try lowering the swim platform in a light to moderate sea whilst underway, it has a large surface area and is very buoyant, then very carefully try and stand on it whilst the waves are acting on it. Then imagine the conditions when you are having to abandon ship.
This is before the boat is lower in the water due to whatever problem that means you are even considering getting into the life raft. If the boat is low in the water you will not be able to open the swim platform.
I made the mistake of storing our spare diesel canisters in this cubby hole and in relatively benign conditions nearly caused myself serious damage when trying to access it.
I guess the reason IMG are recommending a valise life raft is that it would have to be stored in the cockpit lockers or down below where adrenaline fueled superhuman strength would at least mean that you could launch it.
In my humble opinion this is the biggest design fault on modern Hanse yachts.
Stay safe
All the best

Must admit that would be my view too. I wouldn’t want to be lowering the platform to have to access my raft. Also, if you were taking on water you could potentially be going down by the stern which would make it harder still

I purchased the Ocean Safety 6 Person Valise.  The thickness is >> than advertised but it does fit.

I believe that the newly released Revere Regatta Life Raft canister version will fit the life raft nacelle on our H455.  Not sure abut the 458, but there's a very good chance that they're the same size.

Also, the Winslow Ultra-Light Offshore is available packaged in a plastic container (not the Pelican Canister or Valise option) that I know for sure fits in the nacelle.

Hope this helps!
