Very similar, added a 3:1 system to pull up platform far easier than strut even when we replaced unit. Small lewmar blocks attached by rope shackles, simple but very efficient. Makes raising and lowering the platform very easy.

I think this strut is almost identical to the one provided by Hanse at 200 lbs force. Would have preferred if this made of stainless. Have ordered one and will post if it is fit for purpose.
