Unused wiring plug

   We bought Rioja third hand last autumn and are still finding things out about her. At the foot of the mast four electric cables emerge from the mast through rubber grommets. Three of them, presumably for wind instruments, radio and steaming light, connect straight into sockets in the coachroof nearby. The fourth simply has an exposed two pin plug on the end of it with nothing to connect into. It looks very similar to the plug on the end of the wire leading from the calorifier that is intended to be used if we had shore power. Does anyone else have a similar plug just there or know what it is for?
