The warning buzzer on my engine has packed up
This is a bit concerning because if there was a problem, such as impellor breaking, the first I would know is when the engine seized

The first thing I did was to wire the buzzer direct to the battery & it did not work so I went to Maplin & purchased a cheap buzzer.
This did not work so I checked the voltage across the 2 wires to the buzzer when I depressed the heater switch. There does not seem to be any current getting to the buzzer & as it does not work when wired direct  I am concerned it has "blown" along with something else
I assume the buzzer is connected to a temperature sensor somewhere but I am not sure where
It normally goes when the heater switch is depressed & when the engine stops so that suggests it is wired in somewhere else as well
Can someone direct me on a course of action to trace the fault
the possible option is that that a fuse has blown - Any ideas where it could be
Any help gratefully received I do not really want a huge bill from the Volvo dealership
