Hello,

We finally decided to install an Aqua Nautica brand 65 L/h water maker for our Hanse 460.  At first, I was thinking of putting the water maker in the front tent. But since I thought this area was important, we started looking for another place.  Tube length approx 1.27cm×22cm×43cm.   A handyman suggested an under bed in the forward cabin and that appealed to me.  Is there anyone who has a water oiler installed on their hanse and can recommend a brand or a place?

I have installed a Schenker Zen 12V 100L underneath the forward bed.
Pump and Filters are underneath the floor in front of the kitchen.

We put it under the bed in the front room. We placed the clark pump and motor on the water tank. We are thinking of drilling a hole on the side for waste water exit. Can anyone help me where exactly to drill?

Check the location of the sink and shower discharge holes in your boat, which should give you the idea where to position the watermaker outlet with respect to the sea level. Other than that it should be as close as possible to the unit itself, accommodate the ball valve and easily accessible. Cheers!

Hi Marcella  thank you.. Hanse 460 all holes are under the sea level. So its wwry silence boat. Jenerators and AC holes as well. We decided to drill from  a side of master cabin.15 cm up to sea level. There will be a valve as well.

Yeah, if all discharge lines are under sea level and work, then you can drill under sea level. As long as AC works this way, it shouldn't be a problem for the watermaker, I guess. My 458 has everything above the sea level, also very quiet. In this way, you can always check that the water is actually coming out, important for both AC and watermaker to make sure there is no air gap when you start them.

At my 460 the condensate pump hole is above sea level.

Just getting my 460 in December finally!
Dealer wants $15k to provide and install a 60l/hr unit.
Was wondering if inlet and waste can be "t"'d into existing lines, or new holes need to be drilled.
If I can use existing I'm happy to install myself.

Also - never been on a boat that has drinkable water from tanks - what do most people do?  I'm worried about contamination etc from the tanks even with ro water going in- anyone use a small home ro unit at the sink to provide potable water - or just buy bottled?
