Hallo, I am a new member of this forum. I would like to install in my Hanse 375 a hot air Webasto system. Could someone who has already installed it, provide me with some detailed information mainly regarding the conduct position and the air vents position? Many thanks!! |

From the factory my 400 was equipped with an air vent (not possible to close for security reasons) under the seats by the table in the saloon. Vents (possible to close) in forward and aft cabin. (I have only 2 cabins). In the bathroom I have installed one vent myself. Look at Hans Leijnses photos here, and be wiser: (You need Adobe Flash Player to view the photos) Edited by Captain Cook - 12 December 2019 at 16:51 |

I did this on my previous boat, a Hanse 371 3-cabin from 2004.
I installed the heater in the aft port locker. The 90 mm air duct was first routed under the bed in the port cabin. I made a hole in the bulkhead below the bed. I installed 2 y-connectors with a reduction to 75mm that I mounted in the “wrong way” not to let out all warm air from the first outlets. From first y-connector a duct was routed behind/below the wardrobe to the toilet. From second to a outlet in the port cabin (I think this was exiting below the wardrobe). The main 90 mm duct was then routed behind the engine to the starboard cabin and then under the wardrobe. I had to cut a hole in the bottom of the wardrobe for access. Here a 3rd y-connector with 75mm reduction was installed with outlet under the wardrobe. I don’t remember if this y-connector was installed in the wrong way or normal. From under the wardrobe I made a hole in the bulkhead. I was then able to feed the duct below the kitchen all the way to below the fridge. In this area there is a inspection hatch where you get access to the area below the sofa. I made a hole in that hatch and fed the duct down. I placed the main outlet in the aft area of the sofa. From what I remember I drilled a hole for the 90 mm duct in the bottom of the aft storage and thru the front of the sofa for the outlet. The 4th y- connector was located below that storage. I now continued with 75mm duct. I drilled a hole for the last outlet thru the main bulkhead into the forward cabin and hole for the 75 mm duct in the bottom of the forward storage close to the main bulkhead. Feeding the duct from starboard aft cabin wardrobe all the way to the forward cabin was a little bit tricky. From what I remember I fed it both forward and aft from the looker below the sink. I would also recommend to add insulation to all ducts before installing them. I don’t own that boat any more and can not take any pictures. Jesper
