Hi all,
.
We often talk aout fore sails.
Having seen the list of options of the new 348, I note that the shipyard no longer proposes the
possibility of buying a genoa, no more than the approptiate "hardware" (???).
.
Surprising also is that the craft remains relegated to category B...
Have a good Day.

I have no experience with other Hanses, but am very satisfied with my 348. Anything specifically you wanted to know?

Regards.

As per the category B, I noted that now the number of crew members allowed on board has increased to 8.
When the boat was cat A the crew number was 6.
I would guess that my 345 has been now classified as cat B but does this mean that crew number has increased to 8?
Sorry for using this thread for a different purpose.

Hi to everybody !
I'm not new to the forum but this is my first comment and also rather late.
Yes, richz, you are right, a 345 certified under the new Directive 2013/53/EU is category B with a crew of 8 as is the case for my 345, hull#295, delivered May 2017.
Based on the hull# of your boat it was most probably certified under the previous Directive in category A with a crew of 6.
Hanse Yachts used the certification under the old Directive until the last minute, which was January 18th, 2017. After that certification in accordance with the new Directive was finally mandatory.
