Doing a network upgrade to connect the factory installed Simnet to my upgraded Raymarine E90 plotter.
While unclogging the simnet cables I am still looking for the fluxgate compass sensor. Has anybody an idea where this one might be hidden/located ???? Thanks, Pedro. |

On my H355 (quite the same yacht) it is located under the main locker floor between the water heater and the rudder area (= under the port bed in 3 cabins version).

Hi Pedro,
In my Hanse 350 (2010 built, 2 cabin version) the fluxgate compass unit is located on starboard, under the shelf and against the locker in the aft cabin. Claude

I have had a good hunt for this on my 2015 385. It is shown as being located near or under the wardrobe in the port cabin but I have had a good feel around without finding anything.
I had an unexpected issue with the compass getting deselected as a source and hence stopping me from using the autopilot (until I reselected it) so I'f like to know how to access this.

On the 2016 385 (3 cabins) it is in the wardrobe of port aft cabin. Use
the suction cup to remove the bottom shelf of the wardrobe and under it
is the compass. You can see that the shelf is higher on that side.

Thanks. I hadn't realised that the wardrobe floor could be lifted with the suction cup. All is revealed now.
