Congratulations Pedro!
Do you think the laminate sails made a big difference? |

The laminate sails makes a big diference if you are racing, but the standard sails are perfect for the crusing program and last longeeeeeer...

Thank you Pedro.
Although I have not sailed much with laminated sails, I thought the advantage of them to cruising is that the boat heels less during gusts, because the deepest area of the sail does not move backwards as much when loaded. Some sail makers nowadays claim that their laminated sails last much longer than conventional sails. Do you think that is possible? |

Pedro and all,
We'll soon find out how well the standard sails do. I'm the only Hanse registered for the Hook Race, a nearly 200 mile race leaving Racine, Wisconsin, USA on 7/14 at 1000 Central Time. I'll be flying the standard self tacker and main and a left over cruising spinnaker (from my masthead Pearson 34). Wish us luck! Alan S/V Legacy 370e #9 South Haven, MI, USA |
