I recently acquired a 411 and am very impressed with the boat, however the previous owner has meticulously filed all the documentation for the various components installed but there is no overall diagrams for wiring, water systems etc. Does such a manual exist?

Hello Sealegs,
I haven't found any diagrams but I have done a lot of work on our wiring for our atlantic crossing. Let me know if you have any specific questions. I will see if I can still remember it Cheers, Michiel |

Hello Michiel
When I switch off the batteries to leave the boat the voltmeter is still active. Are any other components still active? Thanks |

Hello Sealegs,
I didn't know that the voltmeter stays active but I can understand why. When you switch off the main switch nothing 12V should works expect for all directly connected equipment. In my case one light is active so that when I enter the boat I can switch on one light. Also my Victron battery monitor still works. When connected to shore power all the 220V is still active. So when I leave the boat I also switch off the hotwater boiler. Cheers, Michiel |

Usually also the heating is directly connected, as the heater always needs power for the vent to cool down.
And many radios are connected directly to prevent loss of information. The fuel and the watertankgauge are still active................ Edited by Peter-Blake - 05 May 2011 at 10:08 |

He Sealegs
Normaly the bilgepump will still be under power when the battery is switch off.
If you try hard, you can get a complete wiring drawning by the Hanse Yard our your dealer by e-mail.
I have one for our boat. Edited by Wild - 05 May 2011 at 20:05 |

@wild:
Thats what i thought too when i bought my hanse in 2008. To my surprise the bilgepump was out of order when the main switch is off! I wanted it to be changed by the yard, but i was told that this is standart on hanses...... |
