Hi! i have a Hanse 370 from 2008. I am now trying to draw a picture of the Simrad/Simnett installation in my boat. In this work I have som questions:1. In the ceiling close to the mast there is a T-joiner. One of the cables connected I guess goes to the windsensor in the top of the mast. The cable with the yellow lable goes goes to the multijoiner near the charttable I think. The last connected cable is a very short one (10cm), What is that?? Is it a termination? I thought the termination in this end of the SIM-nett was located to the windsensor? I have two other terminationplugs in my SIM-net and I am now wondering if there are too many terminations in the net? 2. There is an airmar log/depth sensor in under the floor in the front cabin. Does anybody knows where the dropcable from this installation is routed? I cant find out where the dropcable is connected to the SIM-nett. Any advice is appreciated, Thank you! |

The short cable in the T-joiner is a filter (rumors says needed since Hanse fitted a performance cable up the mast). My Airmar multi sensor (DST810Smart) is connected to the T-joiner located in the port wardrobe in the forward cabin (behind a hatch). I have a 400 from 2006, but i believe the 370 had same electrical layout. There is another T-joiner behind the electrical panel. If you have the older IS12 instruments the transducer is analoge and has cables directly to the IS12 combi at the helm.

Do you know if there is a termination in the windtransducer in the mast, or is the termination located to the multijoiner (7) under the electrical panel and the second one in one of the IS 20 displays at the helm?

The original Airmar (DST800) sensor cables run straight to the speed/depth display.

What build number is that? Thats strange. Back to Trygve. The windtransducer has Builtin terminator.

I’ve sketched the SimNet network for my H370 (2008 model). All SimNet components are original, while some NMEA 2000 components were added later. Typically, the wind sensor is the first terminator, and there should be a second terminator connected either to an instrument or elsewhere in the SimNet. I believe you will find more SimNet cables and connectors behind the port locker.  Edited by lovind - 17 March 2026 at 07:22 |

Answer to Trygves Q earlier in the tread. Yes, there is a termination in the wane itself. On my boat the Simnet is feed from the Helm and that cable (red connector) includes the other terminator. Some systems are feed from the navstation, and then you need a power cable without termination and a separate termination at the helm. At the mast-base I have the filter (7-10 cm long cable).

The IS12 combi unit looks like this on the back:
 If you have this unit you will probably have separate log and depth transducers which feed straight back to the IS12. |
