Hi, our fancy removable cockpit table lamp has stopped working. I took it apart today and one of the long brass contacts has broken. I have tried google as it had a manufacturer name and part number on it but no luck.
Has anyone had to replace this and if so do you know what this sort of socket is called and better still where you can get it? Thanks in advance All the best Paul

Paul, have you tried Boatoon the Hanse spare part shop?
I think it is Italian made.

Hi Frank
Thanks, yes I looked at Boatoon, but they only seem to have the socket for the dimmable light and mine is the earlier version. I will try and repair it All the best Paul

If am not mistaken it is made by Osculati:
apparently they have a new (better) design now, just check the dimension of the base BR

My 385 was commissioned in 2015 and had the fancy (and very expensive) cockpit table lamp manufactured by Halley. The socket corroded after a few seasons.
I got a replacement socket from svb24.com: https://www.svb24.com/en/spare-socket-for-halley-table-lamp.html |

Thanks Guys, it the Halley one, I will order one as the design is not good. In the meantime, some logic, a soldering iron and some superglue seems to have fixed the old one. Despite what they say this isn’t waterproof so I will find a suitable yoghurt pot lid or something to cover the whole thing when we aren’t on the boat.
Thanks again Paul

Lamp is beautiful quality.
Socket is complete garbage ... our second has just failed. Plastic is very flimsy so breaks easily.

Because we've all been through the same issues at some point! I also tried soldering the corroded socket (which held up for half a season) and even think I may have shorted mine and blown a fuse too. I'll see if I have documentation on the fuse location.

Hi, still trying to fix my cockpit light! Thanks to S&J I got a replacement socket from SVB24. Now it seems that there is another problem, I have power to the socket but the light doesn't come on. I even tried putting the wires directly onto the light contacts in case it was a socket / light connection issue, but no joy.
Does anyone know if you can replace the bulbs on these lights? I have tried google but not getting anything useful from that. As always any advice would be gratefully received Many thanks Paul
