Hi all. Looking to rig my 350 with a spinnaker. Has anyone done this and what size spinnaker do you have? Also how is it rigged? Thanks.

Hi
I think you are better off with a asymmetrical spinnaker / gennaker. My old 311 had 65 sqm. My 370 has 105 sqm. Cheap and efficient way is to buy a standard size from eg. https://www.rollytasker.com/en/our-sails/downwind/ready-made-spinnaker/ To get the right size you need to know the height form the bow connection point to the haleyard exit out the mast. Getting a real spinnaker with pole and barberhaul is not very Hanse-like. Only for those who do racing/regattas.

Thanks for this. It is for club racing but might look into a Asymmetric. Any suggestions for best downwind angles?

You won’t get an asymmetric to work well dead downwind (assuming tack is on a sprit). Assymetric will usually work well from 90-160 AWA. Maybe 80-170 AWA depending on cut & wind speed. That said, if you want an asymmetric to perform from 90-180 then attaching the tack to a pole and getting out from behind the main will work better. On the other hand, if you have the pole then a full symmetric spinnaker will give you the most ‘pull’ from 90-180 AWA.

Ciao a tutti, vorrei montare una delfiniera per il mio gennaker, qualcuno lo ha montato? Come potrebbe essere fissato? Il gavone dell'ancora è controstampato!!!
