Hi everyone, i am new here with a new Hanse 508 being build right now. As i research on equipment and boat preparation for a round the world journey with my family, i am wondering if the 508 hull and grid are adhesive bonded or laminated together? My aim is to make this boat as strong as possible for the heavy heather ocean sailing.

Same concern are with the integrity of the reinforced bulkhead and absent compression post for the mast and chainplates. I found online on a smaller Hanse that the bulkheads and grid/hull were not laminated together!

Does anyone has any info or a 508 sharing the same concerns?

As a datapoint, I have a 505 and the grid is glassed into the hull, not bonded.  I would like to assume the 508 is also glassed in, but I do not know.

I can not speak for the 508 model but some other Hanse’s(like our 545 2010) the grid is particularly bounded on some place’s and laminated on other places to the hull. So they aren’t laminated completely.Cry I am sorry

I own a 505, #114.
All connections in the keel area and forward of the keel between grid and hull are laminated in my Hanse. Other areas (under aft cabins etc.) i see bonded connections. Note however that the bonding is done with a substantial overlap because the grid has a flange. When doing due-diligence on my Hanse i also visited Bavaria and noticed they 'glue' their grids in place without flanges...
