Can anyone please share a wiring diagram for 445 (2014 facelift version)?
I'm considering switching to Lithium with only changing my AGMs to Victron SuperPack's - the ones with built-in BMS and would like to understand what to do with engine AGM battery, thrusters batteries which are also AGM so should have difference charging settings.

Hi Konstantin,
Albion is also a 2014 445. I only have the bow thruster but can say with certainty that it’s battery is charged from the house bank via a Victron 12v to 24v converter.
I do have some of the electrical diagrams around and if you send me a private message i’ll be happy to email them to you. Because of Hanse copyright they cannot be posted to the forum.

I Realize this is an old post but I have a 2014 445 that we are installing lithium on. Is it possible to pm me the wiring diagram. I haven’t found one online and it’s not included in the ships papers. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Just emailed Hanse 445 wiring diagrams. Know 445 inside-out after 4-years of ownership. Also converted to LiFePO4 ... left me know if you're short of any info. Cheers.

Hi Richard,
Electrical schematics sent to your email along with Quick thruster installation manual. The schematics are full of errors especially around factory options but some information is far better than none! Just a word of caution with the thruster. If you lower the thruster and are unable to raise it for whatever reason then you're gonna be stranded so suggest only working on thruster in safe area and be prepared that if stuck down, a haul-out may be required. The Quick manual has a fault finding guide. There's a red LED on the control PCB that flashes to identify faults. You could also try disconnecting one end of the actuator arm to ensure it moves smoothly without additional load of thruster mechanism. You may find bow and stern thruster are identical (mine are) so you could swap parts to identify the fault. Think there is a control PCB link or DIP switch to identify whether the unit is a stern or bow thruster and of course if you swap the actuator, be aware the limit switches need setting up from scratch (see manual). Good luck. Have to say these thruster units are my least favourite component; they are hugely expensive, complex, the GPS doors can fall off and if the thruster sticks down you're max speed is 3-knots in calm conditions. Not the greatest. Cheers. |
