I had to look something up in my papers from the boat and looked over the order form. On it is an item that I cand place.

Does anybody know what is meant bij "2 voetrailklemmen"? Translated in english this should be "footrailclips"??

This should be part of a "Hanse-pakket" together with an rvx windex.

Do I miss something???

Thanks, I've got those. Can I use those to attach blocks for a gennaker?

I use them for the blocks from the gennaker.

But there has been some discussion in this forum if they are able to take the load.

I had so far no problems at all.

The problem is that the newer Hanses do not have any hole in the footrail, so it doesn't work.

Can you advise me on where you placed them? First i thought in a place where the sheet will be about in a straight line to the winch. Last week i got the advice to place tge sheetblocks as far back as posible and than back forward to the winch.

Also I still don't know if it is wise to have some line stoppers for these sheets, so I can have the winch free if I want to.

Has anybody installed stoppers for the gennakersheets??

I can't wait to give it a try, but looking outside I'm afraid I have to wait a while.

never mount stoppers in a genaker or spinaker sheet!
They must always have a possibility to let them run!
It is about 100 m2 and in a blow it can pul your boat flat , and wenn somone has closes the stopper by accident you might have a very big problem!

@Zeester,

Marcel is absolut right. Do not add stoppers.
To plaxce the sheetblocks as far back as possible is in general not bad, but it depends on the cut of your Gennaker. I have mine mounted about 1,50m from the end of the boat. This is the best position for my gennaker.

Thanks all for the advice. I'll try using the "voetrailklemmen" and you've convinced me not to add some stoppers.
