Hi everybody,
Our New 400 has been delivered ! We tested her last weekend in Holland on 'Het IJsselmeer' and it was just perfect. No problems (yet ;-)), all equipment works well, very good performance, very smooth handling etc... Our dealer (West Yachting in Workum) did a great job and if the service stays as it is now, I can only congratulate them. This weekend and beginning of next week, we have planned to sail her to Bruinisse. We will be on saturday evening in IJmuiden and on sunday evening in Stellendam, monday afternoon we will arrive in Bruinisse (if everything goes as we expect). If any of you are in those marina's at that moment, please do not hesitate to knock on our door and have a beer together! Cheers ! Tom ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes congratulations on your new boat, she does look great, but then so do all of the models.
What pleases me even more is that you say, so far no problems, and that your agent has worked well.
It is great to hear good stories to counter the bad, prehaps Hanse are starting to get the act together, if so, well done to them.

Spot on Dave,
The Hong Kong dealer took over the business about 6 months ago and is well know in the market for his quality and longterm commitment to his clients. He is working very hard to learn from other Hanse Disti's including the Australian "Hanse Downunder" dealer with a great balance between sales and service and community engagement. Its now up to me to care for and maintain Angelina in her new condition. regards Peter |

Peter, Dave...
I just hope the dealer in Holland understood what it is all about. If we are talking about production boats in the same price range, the differences are minor in terms of quality and EACH NEW boat, whatever brand, has minor or bigger problems in the beginning. The real added value of this kind of brands (besides the fact that Hanse sails much better than all the rest ;-)) is the service in aftersales. If I read through the discussions in the different fora, I can see a lot of problems that could be solved very fast by the dealer, or even, should be avoided if they just do their job properly. I sincerly hope that our dealer keeps up the good work, and that it does not stop after delivery... the future will tell us more... I wish you all a happy sailing season ! |

Congratulation to your new 400 - she looks great!
We got our new 400 in June last year also with twin steering. You made the right decision to go for this version - it gives you perfect sailing position and at the same time a very free space in the cockpit !
You will enjoy a lot of sailing satisfaction with this model!
Wish you a lot of happiness in sailing and living on your new boat !
Best regards

Hey, the boot looks great. Yesterday we take our boot from Workum to Andijk. When we go to the IJsselmeer your boot was laying by It Soal. Maybe , we see you in the summer .
We plan to go to Zeeland.
