Hi all
this topic relates to the previous from andrew: the 312 does not have a fuel gage but rather than installing one I got used over the years to keep track of fuel consumption by noting the engine hours when taking fuel. Unfortunately the engine hour counter has stopped. Has anybody out there had the same problem and is this difficult to put right? Thank you in advance for response and advice! Wieland

Hi
Here is how I got it working again. The volvo might also use a hour counter from VDO

I just did mine on my Yanmar recently and used this Youtube clip to aid me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_2qt6MuWGk Quite easy and it appears original hours came back up. LCD cost me AUD 26

Hello
I had the same problem 1 - Fuel gauge : bought one on aliexpres. 5€ Let it install by the shipyard. 20' But by the way they cleaned the tank. 3h ;-) Type diesel tank fuel gauge with levelmeter : 20€ Bought the same for the water tank, but not yet installed 2 - engine hours Same. Bought one on aliexpress But linked it very easy on the red light on the panel As soon as the lights on, the counter starts to count Type engine hours counter in ali. Same as line 9€ Installed both inside close to the engine Both work perfectly since 5 years Now my RPM counter is dead, will certainly do the same |
