Hi Mark & Ian (Ostara)
I replayed our tracking last night too - nip and tuck all the way - great fun re-match next year? G |

Rematch will be up to Ian, it would certainly be fun.
However, we will also do one when we eventually get ubulukutu back to the UK in a couple or 3 years, I'll have to find a way of getting more practice whilst she is still overseas, wouldn't want you to have any extra advantage built up in the interim! Mark

just for the record - that was our very first race in a Hanse
![]() we are still very much learning the boat - we only bought her at the end of last year and have rigged for easy short handed cruising G

Hi Geoff, same as Ian I think, he doesn't race much either but the Hanses go pretty well don't they. We race ours a lot but apart from having less stuff on board and a few extra control lines, its much the same. What might make a bit of difference is if I managed to persuade my race crew to come over, just because everything would be done a bit quicker, but then with such long legs between changes, im not sure it would warrant the air fares on a slow day like this time, probably would if more wind.
Anyway we will see in a year or 3 Mark

Geoff and Water Colour,
we've had to rethink our plans a little due to some work intruding on sailing! We've also had to pause for an outboard snag and a wind transducer swap. Both are now sorted and we will likely still be in Mercury Friday/Saturday so may tap on your hull and say hi Friday night. However we will likely leave the boat a few days before returning and deciding when and where to head next. Enjoy the run down to Brixham. Did it solo in one hop last year and loved doing that run "dawn to dusk" as the tide fell just right. Mark
