470e Bowsprit and Below Deck Jib Furler

I'm also not impressed with the Facnor furling unit as it's extremely difficult to furl the sail and I plan on changing that this year. 

Lastly, I think I'm going to try moving the deck mounted blocks via "strops" closer to the underside of the boom to see what that does when trying to center the boom. I saw that on this site somewhere but can't recall the exact posting.

It's been a bit since my last posts but wanted to tag onto this thread for the Bow Sprit conversation.  I am getting my boat prepared to race offshore on the West Coast of Canada and the US.  The ultimate goal is to complete the Ocean Race - Victoria to Maui in 2028 with a number of Offshore and inshore races over the next couple of years.  That being said one of the modifications that I am tackling first is the bow sprit for the additions of Asymmetrical Spinnakers and Code 0.  I have come across an Italian Premanufactured Sprit called Unibow and specifically for the Hanse 470 they have one called the Unibow Compass (I am considering the Compass 50 in carbon - with a 900 MM projection from bow), I wanted to see if any of you on this forum have installed one of these on your boat or know of these bow sprits?  I have a few pictures from their website that have installed these on some of the Hanse 470's - what is nice is it allows for the anchor to be run through it and gets the anchor further away from the bow to avoid any damage to the bow with lifting or dropping, also it has a code 0 and asymmetrical spinnaker attachment along with bob stay support for the code 0 (not attached in some of the pics as I think it was still being installed) and anchor that secures to the existing plate on my bow.  If you have any comments, I would like to hear them before I move forward with ordering and installing in the next couple months.  I will also try to document all the mods I am going to tackle on the mast, winches (need two new/location for jib and spinnaker trim), staysail (inner forestay) water maker etc as I go along to add to the forum knowledge base.  Hope to hear any feedback you all might have.
