Hello, 

Thank you for your quick and actual help. I think that 445 and 458 shares a lot of things. As you said the particular manuals by equipment would be more helpful, but the most basics seems to be in the owner manual you shared.

Most of maintenance is standard boat-stuff but two things to add to your maintenance that are often missed and regularly appear in forums with problems:-

(1) Jefa steering cable. It needs inspection/greasing every year. The grease is corrosion protection more than lubrication. Mine had not been greased on installation at the factory.

(2) Furler and halyard swivel. There is an annual greasing requirement in the handbook. The swivel can feel very loose when turned but jams easily under tension if dry/dirty.

(3) Replace the seal on the Jefa autopilot drive every TWO years or you will end up in big $$$ trouble.  The seal is located on the top of the drive on the output axis.  Remove the rudder drive arm, lift the old seal with a knife and replace with a new one.
