New Hanse 400

I bought a Hanse 400 in desember south in Norway and sailed it home in Desember, approx. 500nm. We had -16°(pic from the start) in the start of the trip with luckilly no big waves as the sea-spray frose to ice on deck.

Ice some places but in the middle of the country where I live the Gulf stream is warming up the sea so it is +4° in the winter time. Sailing all year round

We have also just moved to Bruinisse with our Hanse 411. We don't have any problem with the sails touching the back stay. I did have the same problem with our toppling lift (kraanlijn). Now I always remove the topping lift when we have hoisted our sails. The sails should not be touching the backstay. That is very strange.

With regards to the heavy hoisting of the sails I fully agree that it is heavy. We have an electrical winch and that is a dream. You could put some silicon spray in the rail of the mast to make the hoisting of the sail easier.

I will be in Bruinisse this weekend. I would be nice to meet up.
