Hi All,
On behalf of Hanse dealers I will take the opportunity to explain that the MyHanse site is here to give owners the opportunity to discuss and share ownership of a Hanse.
Although some dealers have the chance on occassion to flick through the forum and see what is being discussed, it is not a route to contact your supplying dealer to discuss aftersales.
If you need to contact your dealer with regard to aftersales please do it directly, as this is the only way to guarantee that the message has been received.
MyHanse was not designed for customers to contact dealers and vice versa. It is here for owners to enjoy each others experiences.
If a dealer occasionally makes a post it will be for the benefit of owners through some knowledge they have, which will be of assistance.
Keep up the good work with MyHanse posts that are beneficially to all owners.
Good Sailing
Hanse UK

What the h..ck! Two Hanse dealers joining in the discussions in the same thread! I'm goint to buy a lottery ticket!
Hats of tou you guys! I sure hope our Swedish dealers would show same interest and give some information now and then.
I think many of us would appreciate information about imporvements, known problems, new modells and lots of hints and tips how to improve, take care and handle our boats.
And yes, my old 370e (2009) is the best boat so far, with resin etc

Hi All,
Just to change the subject, I thought I would let you all know, that the sun is shining, the sky is blue and there is not a cloud to spoil the view, and it is NOT raining, so I am going sailing, on my lovely 301.

Unfortunately aftersales from Hanse is a problem in Holland till this moment. And despite all the trying I did I had to solve my problems myself and Hanse Yachts did not solve anything at all since Hetterschijt went bankrupt in Holland! So who is talking about aftersales , since I have my boat ( august 2006) I have problems wich have never been solved, not by Hetterschijt and not by Hanse yachts! And onfurtunately this is not only my experience but from many on this forum all over the World. This is the last I want to say about it and I hope Hanse Yachts it self will read this as well so they know what lives under the owners and new buyers and that is what it is all about. And Dave you are right the sun is shining and we all go sailing this weekend Greetings Marcel |

Hi I recently
chartered a Hanse 470e – a very nice boat! The idea was to check it out before
to buy one. Now the big question is --- in size the new 445 would even better
meet my needs – but does it offer the same quality as the 470e? -- Epoxy
was promoted as superior material – more stability and no osmosis – but a ‘445e’
does not exist… -- does the
445 has a metal frame for stability similar to the 470? -- The 445
has less sail area in proportion to its displacement – is it more the ‘cosy family
cruiser’ – compared to the 470e being a fast ‘race-cruiser’ ? -- What are
the disadvantages of a 470e compared to a 455 as brand new design (besides
length in harbours and price)? Best

Dear Alin I will try to answer some of your questions
Hanse 445 is a totally new design whit all the newest experiance the design team and JV has gained over the years.
It has a frame made of a special composite matriale that are stronger and lighter than a metal frame,
Today Hanse Yacht are using Vinylester in the outher layers to protect the hull against osmoses, more than 70% of the cleints dont want to pay the ekstra cost for a lighter full epoxy hull.
The Hanse 445 has a new light and stif rig whit the load on the outher sides of the hull, the jib/mainsail ratio is slightly changed to a bigger jib
that will give the boat more power in strong wind and big wawes
Sometimes this is a problem in Hanse 430 and 470 sailing whit selftacker jib. you are welcome to download the polar diagrame on my webside.
I hope this information can help you standing between too lovers.
Best Regards
Bo Hold

Dear Bo
Many thanks for your info's! I looked after the polar diagrame on your website but could not find it -- can you please let me have the link? What do you think about the sailing performance of the 445 compaired to the 470 at moderate wind? Best regards -- Alain |
