Hi everyone, I have a problem with the Simarine Panel. On my boat Hanse 460#129 are installed 6 LiFos lithium battery model LiFePo4 105 Ah. When the boat arrived from the shipyard the parameter of battery service panel weren't set and the battery display show 75% regardless of battery status. Can any other hanse owners with the same type of control panel and batteries help me?

Hi,

As a new member of the forum I am just guessing, but can it be attached only to the starter battery or is there separate values for both banks?

The Simarine panel doesn’t work with lithium. Mine shows 75% all the time too. The mastervolt panel is the one to use. I have another similar issue with batteries
I leave the Simarine panel on over winter so my concierge can use the transom. Solar power keeps the batteries in charge at around 80% but after a couple of weeks the blue sky system switches of the Simarine panel and puts what it can to sleep. Is this a feature of the system?  Sentinel live data shows no problem with the batteries but the “deep sleep” feature seems to switch on regardless of battery health. Ideas?

Hi. To answer my own question above the dealer has now told me that after 2 weeks inactivity the boat puts itself into "deep sleep" to preserve battery life. To switch on the BluSky switch has to be activated. It would have been a good idea to put this feature in the manual.

Hi, you will need to install Simarine Shunt (SC303 or SC503) to show the battery % - SOC value (State of Charge) for lithium batteries, you will be also able to see charging or discharging amperage currents as well.  ( https://simarine.net/combo-shunts-sc303-and-sc503/" rel="nofollow - https://simarine.net/combo-shunts-sc303-and-sc503/ )

I have installed also Extra shunt for Simarine. I Wonder why Hanse doesn't install this shunt. Simarine Pico is also not connected to the NMEA 2000 cables. So you cannot get some of the information from the boat. If you can connect the internet you can get all of the informations from away. This days Simarine has a new update. But it needs to install with computer. I am using #Vanemar in my boat. Vanemar is saying that after this update you can control all of the buttons from away as well.

Hi All,

On later 460's (mine is #209 Manuf end 11/24) they have 3 Simarine shunts fitted ex factory. Engine, House and Bow Thruster, and they can all be read from the main panel.

It also connects to iPhone. I have not taken delivery yet but when I do I will see what the iPhone App has to offer, and will post it.

Cheers
J

Hi there. I was wondering if you ever got this resolved? I took delivery of the Hanse 410 last September and have two lifos 200 Ah batteries but have same problem. They always show 75% on PICO panel. The dealer changed the settings to indicate the correct battery type but no change?

I had the same problem with 75% and 6 lifos batteries. And now i still have the same problem with 3 liontron batteries, after Hanse replace the 6 once. Simarine Pico shows wrong information and apparently the reason is the missing specific Simarine shunt for lithium. Hanse should fix this in this or other way. I‘m also discussing it with my dealer.

Yes, i did it. I can see the thruster voltage and water tank % as an example.
You need to connect the NMEA2000 cable to the back of Pico panel. Pico streams pretty many information to NMEA2000 which you will see automatically in NMEA2000 section in Sentinel app.

Apparently also digital switching should be available, so that you could turn on the fridge remotely from the Sentinel app.
It doesnt work for me yet, i contacted Simarine for support.

Simarine pico also able to check remotely.  If you have internet in your boat and connect it. But it should controlled to some button.  For example anchoring light remotely.  But how.

Where did you find a nmea2000 tap connection  by your simarine panel?  I can only see one on the vhf.  No others to tap into.

I’ve just received my boat and activated the Sentinel system.
At the moment, I can only see basic information such as battery voltage, shore power connection status, and bilge activity, and I can control only one light.
As shown in the attached photo, when I opened the back panel of the Simarine Nereide2, I found that nothing is connected to the NMEA2000 port.
I also checked inside the boat but couldn’t find any existing NMEA2000 cable.
I’ve ordered an N2K T-connector and cable. Once I connect the Nereide2 to the N2K network, will I be able to see data such as refrigerator status, external lights, and bow/stern thruster battery voltage in the Sentinel app?
Also, I’m wondering about the Sentinel subscription — should I stay with the basic plan, or purchase the CZone Lite or Unlimited option? What is the actual difference between them?

Hello. I own a Hanse 2024 model 460. I'm having trouble with the USB-C port on my Simarine Pico Nereid 2 controller. When I connect it, the Simarine malfunctions and shuts down. I think Simarine has released an update for this, but I don't know how to install it on my boat in Sicily. Does anyone have any ideas? Also, the Vanemar controller installed on my boat is fantastic. It has the ability to control all aspects of the boat via the Simarine controller using an NMEA 2000 connection. But as I mentioned above, the update issue is making things difficult. I learned from Simarine service that this update is only possible with a special tool connected by the service center. Has anyone managed to get such an update done?

Hi I have the same model and vintage also in Sicily. If I connect two USB-C to the Simarine it shuts down and they told me this was a known over-heating  fault and to only connect one USB-C at a time. That has worked fine but it would be useful if both worked. Like you I have no idea how this could be updated, especially as the wifi connection (for me at least) is very flaky.

Hi Ariette I dont think so that it's solve  problem to use one Usb C port. When you nonnect  to NMEA 2000 Simarine it has same issue. İmagine that when you are in sailing or away if its happen. You can loose your auto pilot and roots. Also deepfreez can stop and all the food can melt. There must be somebody İn Sicily to qblw to update all simarine we have.
Another question why it need special connection for to update.
There must be another convenient solution for this.
Is anybody has contact Simarine to get answer to this questions?

Did you get any anwer from Simarine.  As you said it should be available to control all the switches remotely from Simarine application.
For now I am using Vanemar. And I am able to remotely controlling all the switches.

Hi, same for me - if I plug two phones for charging at the same time - it shuts down.
The problem is that it also shuts down important stuff like autopilot ;(

Hi. I have updated the software via the app to the latest version  - using the update feature  - not the emergency method in the video.   Hasn't made any difference.

My dealer was i  contact with Hanse regarding this.  The panel needs tobe shipped back to hanse/simarine for updating.  Said it will take 4-6 wks turnaround.
So Hanse is aware and will fix.

Not directly related to the Li bettery issue, but I have made some progress (using the word loosely) diagnosing the SPC220H's crash issue:
