Dear Hanse sailors,

on our 2008 Hanse 350, the bonded connection between the inner liner and the hull has unfortunately broke and come loose in a few areas. To repair it, I need to remove the entire galley in order to take out the floorboard underneath.

Has anyone here done this before and could share some tips or experience?

Thanks and best regards,

Malte

Hello fellow seafarers,

Yes, unfortunately, I have experience with this type of damage.

The repair is very complex. The furniture doesn't need to be removed.

The work is difficult to do yourself.

Greetings from Hamburg,
Ture

Most floor panels can be removed without taking funiture out.  It's tricky but doable

Unfortunately, one of the larger cracks is located right behind the seawater valves under the sink. To get access to that area, the floorboard beneath the galley unit needs to be removed, and in my view that means the entire galley has to come out. Or am I mistaken?

@Ture: I’ve sent you a PM — since you’re also based in Hamburg, maybe we can have a quick chat directly? I’d appreciate any advice :)
