I didn't go with the genny or air, but i did go for heat, NSE 12 plotter, thruster, bigger engine, cruising and navigation packages. We'll have to compare notes when the boats arrive, it's going to be a long winter waiting for the new toy.

Boys never stop to play -- but the toys get more and more expensive :-) The NSE12 instead of NSE8 -- what do they charge for this? Seems a good addition! (thruster and the packages I have). |

Hello
Is it not fun to see how far from each others the boats has been sold? My boat arrived to Sweden three weeks ago . I have spent some time at the boat which is located indoors so I have good opportunities to prepare the boat while waiting for the summer. (-15 degrees Celsius outside right now!!) I went for the Cruising pack, Navigation pack (nice to see that Simrad has provided the NSE8 complete with all charts), shallow keel, electrical winches, bathing platform, AIS, folding prop, Swingthruster and some minior extras. Will spend some time to go through the complete boat. So far it seems that Hanse has done a good job finishing the boat i short time. I was in Greifswald 24 hours before the boat was shipped and it was impressive how many people who could work on one boat at the same time.! Also nice to see that Hanse has the ability to effective change some details on the boat compared to the #001 boat I saw in Amsterdam. Scandinavian boat fair where boat was exhibited when arriving to Sweden.

Good picture Stig, the boat looks great. As I recall the NSE 12 cost me around an extra 1,000USD, I've been told it fits the plotter housing nicely.

Dear Alain,
We have recently placed our order for the new 495, which will be delivered in May 2011. If you are also located in Istanbul, I would be glad to keep in contact to share any kind of know-how about the Hanse boats.

Dear Mehmet
Congratulation -- its a beautiful boat! We keep in contact! To LakeOntario -- many thanks for the input regarding the NSE12 -- I could change my order -- I think the larger plotter screen makes a lot of sense! Best regards -- Alain |

I have no information about that -- I just know it will leave Greifswald in the first week of April.

dear mehmet,
there seems to be no doubt about the performance of hanse boats. but I read some negative notes regarding the finishing of the boats, nuisances regarding faulty parts, etc. and, of course, about bad after sale service. as I'm seriously considering buying a 445, could you pls comment on these issues. I know you haven't sailed the boat yet, but maybe you could share your research notes. thanks turgut |

Dear Turgut,
It's true, that there was a big problem about bad after sale service in Turkey. But they have a new local agent (Triodeniz) since last year. I also have contacted the main office in Germany to be 100% sure. They also pointed out the same problems in the past and gave me the quarentee, that the new technical staff is very qualified.
If you should decide to buy the boot, we shall be in contact all the time to share any kind of experiences. We get our 495 delivered at the beginning of Mai and plan to sail to Bodrum about 20.Mai.
Regards,
Mehmet Asal
