I changed the oil every year because of the aluminum that kept showing up in the oil. Normally i would change it less frequent...

I'm not sure my experience would have been much different with another production boat, and overall, the 505 is fast, great fun, still looks good, and serves me well.

Well, i don't know about other production boats, but i do know Hanse performs very bad when it comes to dealing with most of these issues. I talked to Jefa a lot (autopilot) and we all know Hanse is not willing to admit their mistake with the DD1, and (worse) tells us to solve it directly with Jefa. And even in the 508 they continued with the same mistake...

When my car's alternator breaks down and the car manufacturer tells me to 'solve' my issue directly with alternator manufacturer...... i think that would make headlines in the news and my car manufacturer would go bankrupt very soon......yet... Hanse does exactly that....
